Well, it's all over for another year. “The Big Weekend” was a resounding success, with huge crowds turning up to see the great bands on offer.
All of the bands put on a fantastic show and really got the crowds jumping.

“The Big Weekend” has arrived!
Well it's here at long last, The Big Weekend is just about to take off. The weather looks great for both Saturday and Sunday with sun forecast for both days, and temperatures up to 23°.
We sincerely hope that everyone who comes along to the event has a fantastic time.

DBG Entertainments today announced that due to public demand for “The Big Weekender Saturday/Sunday” festival ticket they are putting another 500 on public sale.
You can buy your Weekender ticket at the Kozmic Lounge Galashiels, Spence’s Music Store Hawick, go to ticketweb.co.uk or phone the ticket hotline on 08700 600 100.
Iain Burke from promoters DBG stated that “Once the 500 Weekender tickets go there will only be Saturday or Sunday tickets available”.
Saturday and Sunday festival tickets can be purchased at any Visit Scotland Tourist Information Centre, throughout the Borders, Biggar, Dunbar and North Berwick or the ticket outlets above, or log onto the festival website for more info and latest news.

Good news, final line-up confirmed!
“FOURGOODMEN” have been added to Sunday’s Big Shindig line-up.
“FOURGOODMEN” are Derek Forbes: Simple Minds/Propaganda, Ian Donaldson: H2O, Bruce Watson: Big Country and Mick MacNeil: Simple Minds.
Between them, they’ve had almost 60 top 40 singles and 20 top 10 albums – 8 of them number 1’s. Total records sold to date – 40,000,000. Now, in the 21st Century, they have come together to perform the hit songs that are known worldwide.
You can look forward to hearing such classics as ‘Waterfront’ and ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’ (Simple Minds), ‘Dream to Sleep’ (H2O), ‘Fields of Fire’ and ‘In A Big Country’ (Big Country) and much more, and hopefully some of the new material the boys have been working on!
