Headlining The Big Shindig was a band, who over the past ten years, have created a cult following and consistently sell out the Barrowlands in Glasgow. “The Saw Doctors”, are renowned for being one of the best live festival acts around and their breakthrough chart hit, ‘I Useta Lover’ released in 1990 still remains Ireland’s all-time biggest selling single. Their loyal fans were not put off by the thunder storms and enjoyed a great set by the band.

The wonderful “FOURGOODMEN”, all original members of major Scottish bands - Simple Minds, Big Country and H2O - were one of the highlights of the weekend. They played a selection of their old 80s classics including Love Song, Belfast Child, In A Big Country, Chance, Dream to Sleep along with a couple of songs (Kiss Cool and Falling) from their forthcoming album. They were a massive hit with the crowd.

“Shooglenifty”, who’s mix of Scottish traditional music and contemporary dance sounds create a sound that the band like to call ‘techno-ceilidh’, gave a foot stomping performance to a delighted Big Top audience.
